The Chickadee resting on a provided perch,  gauze now wrapped around where wings once were. Below the remnants of their wings and scissors lie silently. The absence of a cage suggesting that confinement can exist even without walls. A fragile moment full of quiet tension, filled with loss, resilience, and the unexpected persistence of spirit.
