Hot coffee sits in the cup holder of my car filling it with its welcoming aroma. Stuck at a traffic light, as the sun just starts to sweep away the night, I reach to take a sip of the coffee that has been taunting me.
The coffee never quite reaches my lips. I stop in awe as I watch this flash of red fur dart across four-lanes of traffic before disappearing into the park bushes. It’s a car horn that brings me back to my senses, the light is now green, and I must be on my way.
This is just one moment in my Savannah life. – Lisa Rosenmeier
