Metaphorically, the glasses are people.
Each glass container has 8 oz of water in them. Some of the containers are overflowing, while in others it barely makes a difference. Even though everything is made of glass. They are designed for different purposes; one thing does not work for all. Yet they are each beautiful in their own right and designed for a unique purpose. The reflections and translucency affect how we see each individual container depending how close they are to each other there for distorting their purpose.
